Each local bar association has a referral service, or the location of a referral service, which can give you the name of a lawyer in your geographic area who is interested in a particular field of law. The advantage is that you will be given the name of a lawyer who is interested in your field of law. The disadvantage is that the names of the lawyers interested in that field of law are given out by the bar association in rotation.

If you do not know much about a lawyer who is recommended, you may want to check the rating of the lawyer.
